The Mental Health Benefits Of Natures Paintbrush, The Artist, Mother

I am a believer. I know in my heart, Mother Nature is our best provider, caregiver and, the true Mother of all Mothers. She is there for us no matter how bad we abuse her, how much we ignore her or how little we do for her.

We take her for granted quite often forgetting that she is the most powerful women to reign on this Earth, our planet, our home. Mother Nature is the queen of all living beings. She is a fictional, fantasy character to some but for me, I am a believer. When life is hard and I feel down in the dumps, I turn to this grand women and she comforts my soul.

Mother Nature soothes my emotions and fills my heart with hope and faith and trust and love. Mother Nature offers each and every one of her children the best mental health care in the world and it is free for the taking.All we need do is walk outside and open our eyes, open our hearts and let the wonderful work she does wash through our spirit.

I am an artist.

I have been told that I can see things in a light that is different than what other's illumination on life might be. I really do not know if that is true. There was a time when I found myself questioning my visions with it's different illuminations. I could not sleep, I did not care to eat and I felt like time was standing still. Now it was late in the winter and I was sick of the cold weather we had been dealing with. I was sure I was going to go crazy if I had to stay inside the house another second.

I visited a psychologist for almost a year because I feared I was going off the deep end. I was lost. What I found out from the many hours I spent on the psychologist's couch was almost an astonishment to my state of mental health. The state of mind I was living in was the deep end . I had no place to go.

She Will Show You All The Ways

I just needed to except a few facts about the way I let life generate it's energy on me. That is when I woke up and realized that I really only needed to get myself closer to my Mother. She too is an artist and she paints our world with her paintbrush, Nature's Paintbrush. I was born again that year with the psychologist. I went home to my Mother and from that day on, all of my world has been one exciting painting after another. It was the best medicine I could ever take and my life has been uplifted and enriched by the realization that Nature's Paintbrush holds a powerful medicine for much of what ails our state of mental health.

I decided that I could live in the deep end just fine after I got a real grip on how simple it is to just sit back and relax. I learned from my Mother about cycles and seasons and timing. I learned to except the cold and rejoice in the blanket of ice that covered my little corner of this great big planet. I learned to live with faith and hope and counting my blessings no matter how trivial they might seem to another.

I started hiking each morning during my time spent with the mental health professional. It awakened my spirit, rejuvenated my inner child and brightened even the crappiest of cold, dreary, Winter Days. I discovered a secret place to live for the rest of my earthly days where I shall not want.

It is ALL GOOD and I got my state of mind in a place that I refuse to leave. It does not matter to me how rough the journey gets. I can travel the road with a plan to keep on keeping on and I know I will enjoy every step of the way. Even when the mud gets thick and the rain won't stop coming down, I am good to go.

I learned from Mother Nature. Life is not about waiting for a storm to pass. Life is all about dancing in the rain.

Mother Nature holds all the answers to questions we have not yet learned to ask. She is the wisest of wise, the knowledge is hers for the holding. We may never unravel all the mysteries she covets but she willingly shares and she knowingly cares.  She will share her babies and rains, her flowers and sunsets,and in her open arms she can heal.
