Good Work Ethic Reflects On You
No matter what the job is, everyone who works at anything should always do their very best. Not only will it help you to know that you have given the job 100%, it will show others that you take your work seriously. Good work ethic sets examples for others.
Employers often determine your value to their organization based on your work ethic. Customers not only judge you on your work ethic but they also judge your company. Your work ethic is key to helping your employer make the most of their business. The best employers are always aware of those people who prove themselves on a regular basis by having a great work ethic.
When you are self employed a good work ethic can make or break your business. It is no big secret that a good work ethic is something everyone who works should develop and refine on a constant basis. It is one of the main ingredients to success in the workplace.
Putting your best foot forward in all aspects of work is an essential key to success, especially in these economically challenging times. Always trying to do your very best is sure to be an asset for everyone, in any organization. When a good work ethic is present, more work gets accomplished. The work is done in the most efficient way and the end result is almost always a positive one. This positive result reflects directly on you as an employee or a business owner.
Good Work Ethic Sets A Higher Standard
Good Work Ethic Is Major Contribution To The Whole
A good work ethic becomes a major factor in contributing to the whole of everything. It seems that people have gotten in the bad habit of trying to do as little as possible to gain the most ever. Things just do not work out for the best by having this attitude. It may seem like it should be okay to slack off and just do the minimal amount of work but it doesn't work in the long haul.
Over time it catches up to everyone. It is evident in the condition of the entire world today. Yes we have come a long way in many aspects of daily living. The thing is in most respects we are falling behind by not doing the best that we can. Our work ethic needs much improvement as a whole. We need to work harder at Peace, we need to work harder at Love, we need to work harder at Caring for the Earth and on and on.
Everyone needs to take a stand at having a better work ethic. It is what is best for the whole population. A good work ethic is something we should strive to reach and maintain. If each and every person worked a little harder, a little smarter and a little longer, we as a population would reap the vast reward for the effort.
Poor Work Ethic Decays From The Inside Out
Big Business Should Create A Better Work Ethic
No matter what the project is, a good work ethic playing part in the project is sure to create a positive outcome. Even in the planning stages good work ethic needs to be applied. From start to finish a bit of extra effort will show in the end result.
Big Business And Work Ethic
If people practice a good work ethic it sets an example for others. It teaches the younger people to try harder and it allows everyone to gain from the experience. Large companies need also apply better efforts toward good work ethics. Taking advantage of hard working people does not set good examples. When people bust their butts to do the best they can and then reap little reward for their efforts then large companies are setting a bad example.
It is time for everyone to take a step back from the work they are doing. If the work you do is at the highest level of a large corporation you should especially take a hard look. What is it that you as an individual could do to set a better example within your own work ethic? Now take action to do your best and set an example for a better work ethic. Those who look up to you will follow in your performance standards.
Good work ethics are needed on all levels in order for all to care enough to put out an extra effort. If everyone practiced a good work ethic, this world could be fast on it's way to greater things. Setting good examples for work ethic starts at the top.

So much truth here, we have failed at maintaining ethics in the work place. My entire life , I have watched as it has deteriorated slowly and felt that I'm he only one that gets it , at times! The truth is ethics, morals and charactor traits seem to be dieing in America especially fast.Great hub.
Focusing on my list, helps me...and of course watching the clock too:) There is a loss of the importance of work ethic, in this world today! Good Hub Topic:)
Blessings to you C.S.Alexis!!
Thank you for sharing!! A good work ethic is a subject close to my heart!! Like many of us, I worked as a child for an allowance, then shelling walnuts, then cutting apricots for drying and had my first real job with a paycheck/withholding, etc. at age 13!! I went on to become an accountant and investment broker!! But only after many years of self-study, education and learning my skills on my own time!!
Now I am looking to hire someone to help with my publishing business! I don't think at $30-35 per hour it is unreasonable to expect the basics!!? Yet, one generation later, the expectations for normal have changed drastically!!
I expect a person I hire to show up on time, ready to work! Or, if they need to get settled, get a cup of coffee, return their latest text, check their personal emails, etc. then show up a few minutes early - but be fully ready to work at the agreed upon time!
I expect the person I hire to arrive on time without a hang-over, without carrying their life-drama into my business and with professional conduct skills!
Professional conduct skills include being able to carry on polite conversation with clients and other workers in English, not slang! It also includes wearing clothing suitable to a business environment, not the beach or club-hopping!
In terms of skills, I expect someone I hire to in fact have the skills they represented having!! If someone shows me their portfolio done in PhotoShop, and I ask them to modify/add the Layers to a current project, I don't expect them to look at me with a blank stare! And expect me to train them!!
I get it that we all put our best foot forward in an interview! Especially in this economy!! But if someone has pushed the envelope a bit too far in representing their skills, and they want to keep their job, then I expect that person will hone-up in their off hours!!
Somewhere along the way it has become okay to carry on with social media while on the job and someone else is paying for it?? It has become okay to be disrectful if in a 'bad mood?' It has become okay to be late to work because of a new 'text' or trying to resolve a fight with a mate or because the car needed gas?
What has become acceptable work behavior in the U.S. would be grounds for immediate termination in most of the developed world!
I would love to hear/read your comments on some possible solutions??
Blessings always, Earth Angel!!
